OTHER WING OF SoMaSHTe
The Desher Khobor
Another milestone of SoMaSHTe is the development of a rural news-focused online infotainment medium The Desher Khobor (www.desherkhobor.net). This endeavor aims at promoting local-level information and thus highlights rights and development issues. It contains district and issue-wise navigation buttons, and will be complemented by the provision of direct access to local newspapers published from districts and sub-districts. Provision for listening to the news and watching video clips will be available on the web-portal that will enable visitors with no/little literacy to the contents.
